SMS consent

Guest notification opt-in.

Chompy POS is the registered messaging name used by Chompy, a restaurant operations platform developed and operated by ZeroIndex LLC. It sends optional, non-marketing waitlist and online-order text messages on behalf of restaurants. This page documents each way a guest may consent.

Online-order web opt-in

At each restaurant-specific checkout, guests provide a mobile number and may select the following checkbox. It is unchecked by default, and SMS consent is not required to place an order. Checkout URLs vary by restaurant; the public review evidence below reproduces the exact phone field and consent control shown during checkout.

Selecting the checkbox provides consent only for transactional updates about that order, such as confirmation, ready-for-pickup, or cancellation messages. It does not authorize marketing messages.

Waitlist verbal opt-in

Before restaurant staff submit a guest's mobile number for a waitlist entry, they read this consent request:

Chompy POS, operated by ZeroIndex LLC, provides waitlist text notifications on behalf of [restaurant name]. Do you consent to receive up to two text messages about this waitlist entry? Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase.

Staff submit the mobile number only after the guest gives affirmative verbal consent. Consent applies only to the current waitlist entry and does not authorize marketing messages.

Program terms

Message frequency varies, with up to two messages per waitlist entry and up to three messages per online order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
